Job Statement

Under the instructions of the Coding Manager, the Coding Supervisor is accountable for handling the everyday operations of the coding department. This position will be accountable for keeping track of coders’ work efficiency in order to guarantee prompt and precise coding.   • Assist Coding Manager with payroll, Coder schedules, and other timekeeping and participation functions.
  • Prepare and provide month-to-month Coder control panels.
  • Perform all other responsibilities as appointed.

Job Requirements– Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

An effective prospect should have competent knowledge/capabilities in the following locations:

  • Associate degree in Health Information Management or associated field or high school diploma with comparable 2 (2) years of pertinent experience and proper accreditations might be replaced to fulfill education requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or associated field extremely preferable.
  • Three (3) years previous experience in coding (CPT/ICD-10), medical record evaluation, ICD-9/10, CPT and HCPCS coding efficiency.
  • Excellent command of the ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 category systems with comprehensive understanding of the result of information quality on potential payment, usage, and compensation.
  • Must have among the following qualifications: RHIT, RHIA, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or CCS-P, Certified Professional Coder (CPC) provided by AHIMA/AAPC.
  • Understanding of all or a mix of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, medical terms and HIPAA Compliance.
  • Ability to lead a group to a high level of efficiency.
  • Excellent composed and oral interaction abilities needed to represent MediRevv.
  • Computer abilities consisting of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the capability to multitask and work separately to fulfill due dates under time pressures.
