Coding Reimbursement Specialist II – Texas Health Huguley- run as joint endeavor in between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth

Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

Accurately determine primary and secondary diagnosis/procedures for proper DRG project utilizing ICD-10 CM codes and coding standards for all Inpatient accounts

Accurately recognize all medical diagnosis, treatments, and designate modifiers properly for the defined outpatient accounts of: Observation, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac treatments

Ensure ethical coding practices are followed

Query doctors as required for extra documents to support precise coding and acuity/risk of death conditions

Abstract precisely defined information aspects for information reporting

Maintain coding performance requirements as set by the HIM department

Complete coding within 2 days of discharge to support weekly and end of month billing cycles

Maintain a 95% coding precision score

Utilize computer system helped coding software application 80% of coding time

Complete all CPA/Revenue Cycle work products within 48 hours of invoice

Assume obligation for expert advancement by keeping existing with all ICD-10 and CPT coding standard rules and policies (ICD-10 CM Official Guideline for Coding and Reporting, Coding Clinic)

Complete needed AHS webinars within designated timespan

Other responsibilities as designated or asked for Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Completion of a certified coding curriculum.

Experience in appointing ICD-10 medical diagnosis and treatment codes

2 years inpatient coding

RHIA or RHIT or CCS

Job Summary:

Responsible for the complete/accurate, prompt coding and DRG task of all Inpatient accounts and complete/accurate, prompt coding of defined Outpatient accounts to support the weekly and month-to-month billing cycle for the Southwest Region.
