Overview
Atlantic Medical Group’s Coding and Compliance Department in Morristown, NJ is presently looking for an Internal Coding Auditor II.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates, schedules, carries out the expert services documents and coding audits of outpatient, inpatient, treatments and screening records for AMG
- Evaluates the quality of medical paperwork to determine insufficient or irregular documents that might affect the quality of information being reported
- Audits codes and expert cost services carried out by suppliers from medical records according to ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and CMS standards
- Responsible for keeping approximately date understanding of coding standards as they associate with expert services
- Develop and collaborate academic and training programs relating to components of coding such as suitable paperwork, precise coding, coding patterns discovered throughout chart evaluations, 3rd party audit findings, and yearly coding updates
- Evaluates and offers proper documents for the 3rd party payer CPT rejections to keep the initial CPT project, and when needed, execute restorative action strategy and/or curricula to avoid comparable rejections and rejections from repeating
- Meets with the companies to examine the audit findings and to advise methods to enhance when shown
- Orients and trains brand-new companies throughout the year. Takes an active function in providing 2 or more academic subjects beyond our department
- Audit charts for precise and right coding and compliance within paperwork standards and AMG/AHS policies

- Serves as a resource to the workplace personnel, service providers, and billing department
- Provides information on AMG coding and compliance policies
- Independently handles easy jobs
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma
- College Preferred
- CPC Required
Minimum Experience Required:
- 2 years coding experience
