Coder

Granger Medical Clinic has an instant opening for a Full Time Medical Coder – this is a remote position.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Coder should have experience in all spine treatments and/or surgical treatments. Need to have experience in coding and billing:
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Radiofrequency Ablations
  • Medial Branch blocks
  • Botox Injections
  • Audit/Code day-to-day E & M sees. Extract info from personnel reports, transcription, and other files. Accountable for precise, CPT/ associated modifiers and ICD-10 codes to added to the relevant billing files.
  • Provide coding and billing education/ feedback to suppliers.
  • Research, proper, resubmit and appeal rejected claims.
  • Keep notified on requirement also distinct payer policies and treatments.
  • Must preserve a 90% coding precision rate.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate or comparable.
  • Must have the capability to self-educate as required.
  • Demonstrated/ shown customer support, interaction, multi-tasking, and organizational abilities.
  • Must be licensed by AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, CCS-P).
  • Medical coding experience needed (2 years)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Sedentary work, needing raising to 10 pounds
  • Repetitive movement connected with running a computer system and other workplace devices
  • Inside, climate-controlled working conditions
