Summary

Reports to the Practice Manager and works under the instructions of the Clinical Supervisor, Office Supervisor and/or Office Coordinator. Under basic guidance and according to recognized policies and treatments, carries out numerous reception, clerical and client care tasks. Responsibilities consist of welcoming clients, responding to the telephone, preserving doctor’s schedules, confessing and releasing clients, gathering payments, getting in client charges and putting together different reports.

Performs numerous reception and clerical tasks in accordance with recognized policies and treatments by:

  • Receiving and welcoming clients and visitors in an expert, pleasant way and supplying all sensible support. Monitoring clients in for their visits.

  • Scheduling clients with doctor service providers and keeping visits with doctor( s) rotation.

  • Scheduling medical screening, treatments, supplementary services and surgical treatments for clients.
  • Providing client with directions on the preparation for arranged treatment or test and following up with composed guidelines when suitable.
  • Obtaining insurance coverage pre-certification for client treatments and secondary tests or finishing electronic medical record circulation sheet and sending out details to the proper individual.
  • Paging doctor when needed and sending out details relating to call status and imaging tasks daily.
  • When appropriate, getting in information into specialized computer system programs such as Carelink and Cardionet; guaranteeing that orders are gone into properly and screens are sent out to clients.
  • Performing clerical tasks consisting of faxing, copying, typing notes and memos.

Education and Experience

  • The understanding, abilities and capabilities as shown listed below are generally obtained through the effective conclusion of a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year associated workplace experience, with medical terms and coding experience, is chosen. The capability to speak and compose Spanish is wanted.
