POSITION SUMMARY

Provides scientific and/ or administrative assistance in an Ambulatory Practice or Clinic.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of a ABHES or CAAHBP Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or like health care function chosen.

Experience with EHR is chosen.

High School graduate or GED equivalent is needed.

Must be educated and skilled in standard scientific proficiencies.

Must interact efficiently and work well with others. Assertiveness, organizational abilities, efficient time management, versatility and self-motivation are vital for the function. Need to have the ability to satisfy the physical needs of the position such as flexing, extending, kneeling, twisting, lifting, client transfer, pressing, and pulling, and so on. Need to have the ability to raise 30 pounds.

BLS accreditation chosen and should be acquired within 90 days of hire and kept.

ORGANIZATION

Reports to the Medical Practice leader which can consist of: Coordinator, Manager, and/or Practice Administrator.
