Responsible for making sure that overdue and partly paid claims are fixed in an effective and prompt way. Fixes EOB inconsistencies and investigates refunds. Displays and guarantees that collections, web, gross and days in receivables targets are fulfilled.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Follows up on sent claims, keeps an eye on overdue claims and resubmits claims with suitable corrections and paperwork
  • Works decreases and procedures appeals
  • Ensures that developed billing targets for collections, gross, days in A/R and net collection ratios are fulfilled

Requirements:

  • Education: Associates Degree or HS Diploma/GED plus 2 years of associated experience.
  • Experience: 3 years health care billing experience needed. Familiarity with CPT and ICD (coding and CCI edits)
