Responsible for making sure unsettled and partly paid claims are fixed in an effective and prompt way. Solves EOB disparities and investigates refunds. Displays and guarantees that collections, web, gross and days in receivables targets are fulfilled.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Follows up on sent claims, keeps an eye on overdue claims and resubmits claims with suitable corrections and documents
- Works decreases and procedures appeals
- Responds to client and 3rd party questions; looks into and solves easy to reasonably intricate concerns; fixes mistakes and refers complicated problems to manager
- Reviews correspondence and rejection information from insurance coverage providers; posts rejections and carries out reconciliations
- May transfer secondary balances to proper monetary class and supplies documents for processing the claims

- Maintains strictest privacy; follows all HIPAA and Federal Payor guidelines/regulations
- Performs other associated tasks
Requirements:
- Education: Associates Degree or HS Diploma/GED plus 2 years of associated experience
- Experience: 2 years health care billing experience needed. Familiarity with CPT and ICD( coding and CCI edits
