Work Hours/Shift: Full-time/ Day

You Will Be Accountable For:

  • Evaluations, evaluates, and translates scientific documents, looking for information from the doctor when inconsistencies exist. Efficiently interacts with doctors and allied health workers the requirement for thorough, precise prompt scientific documents.
  • Uses ICD-9 codes, ICD-10 codes, APC codes, modifiers, doctor codes, and income codes to outpatient encounters
  • Uses extensive understanding of the Authorities Coding Standards, Coding Center assistance, CPT Assistant, National Correct Coding Effort modifies, National Protection Policies and Regional Protection Policies
  • Makes sure all tests carried out fulfill medical need according to regional and nationwide policies
  • Utilizes important thinking and sound judgment in choice making; keeping compensation factors to consider in balance with regulative compliance

Credentials

What Will You Required:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Knowledgeable level with a minimum of 3-5 years of CPT coding experience

LICENSURE, ACCREDITATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

  • RHIA, RHIT, or CCS accreditation or qualifications

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years surgical coding experience in a severe care health center. A minimum of one-two years of coding education consisting of official education in anatomy, physiology and medical terms.
  • Comprehensive experience with cases that need a more complicated level of coding

Task Summary:

The Fast In & Out Coder is accountable for examining, examining and analyzing medical paperwork included in the medical record using proper ICD9, ICD-10 and CPT codes conventions and requirements of Medicare Potential Payment System.
