Big Medical Billing Company is presently looking for an Anesthesia-experienced licensed medical coder and auditor. The Anesthesia Billing and Coding Auditor is a competent coding and auditing resource, who has actually finished a certified coding education class and holds an active coding credential from CPC, AHIMA or AAPC. The Anesthesia Billing and Coding Auditor has complete understanding and training in CPT, ICD, HCPCS coding guidelines and standards.

This position is accountable for audits of coding, working Doctor Portal pends, working together with internal professionals for Anesthesia particular coding guidelines, and interacting internally and externally with consumers on findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on claim rejections and clearinghouse mistakes to make sure payment is gotten for Anesthesia claims
  • Audit customer/ OS for the precision of:
  • Documentation to support the CPT code billed
  • Diagnosis Billed
  • Modifiers designated
  • Referring doctor billed
  • Date of Service
  • Place of Service
  • Document problems and mistakes discovered in each audit sample
  • Assist in the evaluation and upgrading of billing and coding handbooks
  • Assist in interaction and education to our contracting out partners as it associates with Anesthesia
  • Interact with centers’ contacts when essential to collect or clarify info referring to the customer and its clients
  • Answer telephone questions from clients in an expert and polite way
  • May train or work as a resource for brand-new or existing workers

Requirements:

  • Coding accreditations (need to be kept existing)
  • Certified Health Care Auditor (CHCA) or comparable auditing accreditation chosen
  • Experience with Anesthesia Coding and Concurrency
  • High familiarity with EMR’s and EOB evaluation
  • Must have the ability to interact concepts and user interface efficiently peers and superiors.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA
  • Excellent composed and oral interaction abilities.
  • Minimum – One (1) year of occupational experience.
