Job Overview
The Trauma Coding Data Quality Coordinator is responsible for the collection, conclusion, and confirmation of the precision of all client information gathered from Deaconess Hospital and the Trauma Registry information collection system. This position is important to the execution of quality control and enhancement concerns by working as the structure of the Trauma Services Department. The planner develops and preserves medical and analytical information, AIS coding, ICD9CM codes and abstracts different information components needed by The American College of Surgeons, the state of Illinois, and Deaconess Hospital. The Coordinator will offer information collection/ stats from the injury pc registry to the Trauma Outreach Coordinator to base injury avoidance and neighborhood education. This position is held responsible by the requirements of the injury windows registry and reports straight to the Trauma Program Manager.
Education and Experience
High school diploma needed with a chosen effective conclusion of an Associate’s degree in medical records terms or an associated field. Experience in healthcare preferred. Staff member needs to find out tasks in 3-12 months. One to 2 years of associated work experience in a medical records workplace is chosen. Needs a strong understanding of medical terms, ICD-9 coding systems, anatomy and physiology.
