Coding Specialist (full-time)
Advanced understanding of medical terms, abbreviations, methods and surgeries; anatomy and physiology; significant illness procedures; pharmacology; and the quality metric system to recognize particular medical findings to support existing medical diagnoses, or validate listing extra medical diagnosis in the medical record. Substantial understanding of main coding conventions and guidelines developed by the American Medical Association, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for project of diagnostic and procedural codes, along with modifier task. Fundamental understanding of medical billing and collection practices. CPC or CCS Certification needed.
