As a Coding Integrity Specialist III WORK FROM HOME, you will evaluate and assess medical facility inpatient medical record paperwork to appoint, series, modify and/or verify the suitable ICD-10- CM and ICD-10- PCS codes. A CIS III carries out coding and/or code/DRG recognition throughout several entities by using all proper coding standards and requirements for code choices.

In this function you will:

  • Assign, series, confirm, and/or modify codes/DRGs and abstracted information (e.g., doctor, discharge personality, inquiry tracking) for inpatient records for several centers utilizing ICD-10- CM and ICD-10- PCS
  • Maintain or surpass recognized precision requirements

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent needed
  • Undergraduate (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) degree in HIM/HIT chosen
  • Minimum 1 year of intense care healthcare facility inpatient coding needed with 3 years chosen
  • RHIA, RHIT or CCS chosen
