Medical Facility Coding Fitness Instructor

Responsibilities

The Hospital Coding Trainer will work in a self-directed way to examine, strategy, and establish training strategies, and execute and examine Hospital Coding workflows for brand-new hires with or without medical facility coding experience.

Provide quality evaluation for all the health center coding client types. Train lower level or unskilled (i.e. current graduates) coders for efficient frontline healthcare facility coding.

Reviews, establishes, customizes and/or adjusts pertinent training products, discussions, and curriculum in cooperation with department management, subject professionals, and authorized online training resources in a prompt way.

Provides assistance in the continuous training, execution, and ideal usage of encoder software application (3M) and Epic coding functions.

Qualifications

Education:

Associate Degree of Applied Science for Medical Coding Specialist or comparable 2 year program.

Experience:

Four years of Hospital Facility coding experience in any mix of diagnostic, ED, and outpatient surgical treatment account types needed. Inpatient coding experience chosen in addition to the needed experience. 2 years experience with 3M HDM 360 coding application and usage of Epic EHR chosen. 2 years trainer/instructor experience chosen.

Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to pass coding evaluation with 85% or much better.

Demonstrated understanding and capability to utilize Epic (or comparable electronic health record) for paperwork.

Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of Medical coding systems, treatments, and documents requirements.

Demonstrated efficiency of ICD-10 CM, ICD-10 PCS, and CPT.

Understands and uses adult finding out concepts.

Proven advanced interaction skills-both composed and spoken. Able to interact successfully with all levels of workers within the company.

Ability to train people with various knowing designs.

Demonstrated understanding and understanding of computer system software application and hardware elements, (e.g. MS Office Windows running system, double screen forecast).

Demonstrated essential understanding of client workflow.

Demonstrated essential understanding of policies and treatments.

Demonstrated class management, mentoring and mentor abilities.

Demonstrated issue resolving and cooperation abilities.
