Summary of Position:
Under basic instructions, evaluations and abstracts medical information from clients medical records relating to occasions worrying a client’s episode of care. Coder designates medical diagnosis and treatment codes utilizing standardized category systems (e.g ICD-9, CPT-4, and so on) and follows all needed conventions for repayment and information capture. The Coder utilizes proper organizing software application to designate suitable DRG or other needed grouping based upon the medical diagnosis and treatment Codes designated. Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized program in ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding.
Completion of a recognized Certified Coding Associate certificate program and accreditation gotten within

One (1) year of experience including coding of inpatient and ambulatory surgical treatment records in a complex, severe care environment.
