Summary of Position:
Under basic instructions, evaluations and abstracts medical information from clients medical records relating to occasions worrying a client’s episode of care. Coder appoints medical diagnosis and treatment codes utilizing standardized category systems (e.g ICD-9, CPT-4, and so on) and follows all needed conventions for repayment and information capture. Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent.
Completion of a certified program in ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding.
Completion of a certified Certified Coding Associate certificate program and accreditation gotten within

One (1) year of experience including coding of inpatient and ambulatory surgical treatment records in a complex, intense care environment.
