Abstract: The International Category of Illness, 10 th Revision (ICD10) was embraced in the United States on October 1,2015 Due to the fact that the OR creates a large share of a medical facility’s total revenue, perioperative services personnel need to take an important look at ICD10 changes and address adoption challenges to decrease the unfavorable effects ICD10 may have on surgical earnings and help workers identify perioperative services’ essential function in ICD10 application.
