Medical Billing Specialist

Searching for a positive and friendly Medical Billing Specialist to work in a small clinic with a cohesive team of therapists and supervisors.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Verify patient insurance coverage.

· Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.

· Answer questions from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies.

· Review and resolve unpaid and denied claims.

· Handle collections on unpaid accounts.

· Maintains the strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

· Submit pre-authorization requests to insurance companies and keeps track of their due date
