This position is a full time (1.0 Status), days shift Inpatient Coding Lead position in the Health Information Management Department.Responsible for assignment of ICD -10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes, as applicable of all provider charts; reviewing medical record documentation for appropriate CPT/HCPCS code for services where the PBO is responsible for verifying charges for entry.
Minimum Requirements: At least three years of coding experience with CPC or CCS credentials required. Must have completed classes in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and knowledge of coding methodologies, will consider three – five years coding experience, in a clinical office or outpatient setting, in lieu of formal education.
Preferred/Desired: Associates of Applied Science or Certificate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology, Coding Specialty.
This position is subject to Drug & Alcohol testing according to MT Law: 39-2-205-39-2-211
