A video of New York diners chanting “F you, Cuomo” is getting popularity as the state experiences newly executed limitations, purchased by Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo, to slow the spread of COVID-19
The video, shared on the TikTok video-sharing app, is captioned, “How New York really feels about closing at 10: 00 p.m.” It shows a seated table of young restaurants repeating the chat– clapping and beating their fists and silverwear against the tables between repeatings– prior to revealing the chant being duplicated by other diners throughout the restaurant.
As of November 23, the video has been seen over 389,000 times, liked over 69,300 times and shared over 6,613 times on TikTok.
According to Cuomo’s new measures, “all bars, restaurants and health clubs or physical fitness centers, as well as any State Liquor Authority-licensed facility” are required to be shut daily from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. local time.
After 10 p.m. dining establishments can only serve food for pick-up or shipment and are not permitted to serve alcohol.

” These events have become a major cause of cluster activity across the state,” the governor’s workplace stated in a statement.
Cuomo also released an order specifically restricting the number of individuals allowed at Thanksgiving gatherings.
Early into the pandemic, New York was initially the U.S. state with the highest total number of COVID-19 cases.
Then, in late September, as the weather condition grew chillier, case numbers began increasing once again to above 1,000
Regardless of warnings by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Avoidance for households not to attend vacation gatherings, the Transport Security Administration has still seen a sharp increase in airline guests taking a trip for Thanksgiving.
