Position Description:
Washtenaw Community College (WCC) is looking for Part-time Medical Billing and Coding Professional Instructors and Clinical Trainers (Classified Faculty) to teach/assist in the lab or clinical setting for Medical Billing and Coding credit courses. Needs may appear each semester. Upon effective submission of your application, resume, and transcripts, you will be thought about for mentor chances on a per course basis.
Effective prospects must be able to carry out routine In-Person Labs both on-campus and offsite in the Ann Arbor area.

Hours/Schedule: Schedules differ according to class schedules. Expert Instructors might teach up to (8) eight contact hours per week or 120 contact hours per term. Categorized Professors may work up to twenty (20) hour weekly. The terms of work are based on college registration and class registration.
Workplace: Routine In-Person Labs both on-campus and offsite in the Ann Arbor area.
Minimum Certifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Abilities and Abilities:
- Earned Bachelor’s Degree in related field from a regionally certified organization and demonstrated strong command of relevant software application.
- Minimum 2 (2) years of experience in health center or physician’s workplace.
- Field experience in medical billing and coding, and thorough knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS.
- One of the following AHIMA qualifications required: CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, RHIA, or RHIT.
- Must be able to carry out routine In-Person Labs both on-campus and offsite in the Ann Arbor location.
- Ability to deal with varied populations representing a large range of abilities, ages, citizenships and cultures.
- Ability and willingness to use innovation for teaching and learning.
Preferred Certifications:
Extra Preferred Credentials:
- RHIA or RHIT.
- Master’s Degree in Health care Administration or associated location.
- Teaching experience in postsecondary and/or vocational/ technical education
- Online, remote, or virtual teaching experience.
- QM Teaching Online licensed.

Payment Structure:
Classified Faculty– Clinical Instructors with 2 (2) to three (3) years associated work experience will be paid the starting rate.
Classified Faculty– Scientific Trainers with 4 (4) years and over associated work experience will be paid the middle rate.
Expert Trainers will be paid the greatest rate.
